Yum
I was making dinner while Aidan was pleading for the biscuits I was making. He was starving-- starving--and couldn't wait. So, he decided to take matters into his own hands and snack on the nearest available thing. Can you make him out reclining in the background? This was a full stick before he got to it. Am I the only one whose children drink out of the dog bowl, find snacks in the garbage, eat the petrified french fries between the car seat, and fork down half a stick of butter when no one else is watching??

Noah will totally scarf a whole stick of butter if I let him. What a weirdo!!!! And you are making biscuits???? You truly are a domestic goddess ;)
we had a little one at our house that liked to dip the butter stick into sugar. :) amme
I love butter, I'd be right there with him :)
Oh eww. The thought of eating butter makes me cringe....However...my three year old has been known to dip his restaurant french fries in it ( you know how they bring you the little cups of soft butter? Total dipping sauce.)
You would think the children around here never EVER eat the way these four complain close to dinner time.

Andrea, domestic goddess? Ha! I was making a package of Bis-kits. I used to make brioche, home-made puff pastry... even my own graham crackers for the crust for my cheesecakes. Now I make pb&j and baby shoes ;)
Amme and Sara... sick, sick, sick. Sends shivers down my spine. Jewellori, so that Blast-o-butter commercial is for you, huh? *snicker*
As silly as it may sound, I am the kind of mom that sees the kid eat whatever it is they are eating (trash/dog food/butter) and says, "I wonder what that tastes like?" So I usually take a nipple. I took a bite of unsalted butter, wasn't very tasteful, kind of like drinking oil. Petrified french fries, not bad. Dog food, well I have to draw the line somewhere...old food unless it has mold is usually okay. Although I have fallen in love with bleu cheese, that is mold right???
ariana.. that is disgusting my dear. LOL
my kids beg for spoons of butter all fo the time.. and when i put butter on the biscuits, they scrape it off with their fingers, and lick it off their fingers. they beg for butter sandwiches for lunch. it is so gross.
hahh, Jessica I had to go check out that commercial(I'm from Canada, and I'm guessing it's an American commercial) but dern rights that would be me. LOL! Let's just say I wouldn't take a bite out of it, but I might lick my fingers after touching it :)
OM...did I write nipple, I meant nibble.
Eben and Aliza like butter too. I totally thought they were just strange for doing it - but it's nice to see that its 'normal' :)
Totally normal! My child is a whack job too! She drinks out of the dog's water bowl and sometimes I'll catch her with a mouth of dog food and yell "Is that DOG FOOD in your mouth?" and she'll just rub her belly and say "Yeah, mmm mmm mmmm".
Ariana, "nipple" he, he.. I didn't even notice until you pointed it out ;)
Per the Blast of Butter commercial... It's very funny. The wife and daughter walk into the kitchen to see the husband about to take a bite out of a stick of butter. It's a microwave popcorn commercial that one can only assume is slathered with you know what!
Lori (V), how's the elbow?
