Sneak Peak

What a romantic little getaway! While the trip was great, both the leaving and returning has been a lot more chaotic than expected. I have many more pictures and will share those and all the details soon. Missed you, my friends!

What a beautiful place! I can't wait to see the rest of your pictures. Leaving and returning from trips, whether taking kids or leaving them behind, is never as we would like. I pray you get some time to recover from your vacation and savor the good memories.

Gorgeous!! It looks so charming and peaceful. I want to go there!

We're headed to Disney w/ the kids in less than 2 weeks. I'm terrified. It wasn't the vacation we had planned...we were supposed to go on a nice FL geteaway as a couple w/o the kids but our childcare arrangements fell thru this month and we had to improvise. We're gonna make the best of it. I've already had my pity party and am getting excited about doing something special for the kids. Our time will have to wait a few years I guess.

We gotta catch up...I'll send you an email sometime.

How beautiful! And the landscaping is so lush. I don't know about you, but our grass feels like your walking on potato chips! Potato chips? you might ask. It is so dry and crunchy. I really hate to waste water. I rather pray for rain everyday:) I can't wait to see those pictures and yes, vacations are exhausting for me too!

Thank you for all the wonderful pictures. The west coast is so very beautiful and dramatic, a far cry from flat Texas. Having small children takes such attention and patience that it can be very draining and tiring. You think it will never end. But, you know, even though we had at least one child under 4 for over twenty straight years it really was just a brief season in our lives. Before you know it, it will be over. So be encouraged, the investment of yourself is worth it, for them. When it is done, and it will be, you can look back on the wonderful people these mess-makers have turned into and you will have that special joy only parents can experience who make their children their mission. You will have more than enough time to enjoy all you missed out on during those rearing years and it will be with a special sweetness from the Lord as He blesses you for your sacrifice of love. Hang in there, fight the good fight. When you get to the edge just remember that the same little one who is pouring out her juice box on the floor (for the fourth time today) will one day, God willing, cleaning up a juice box herself. Then you can say to her "hang in there, it is worth it" because you know it is.
