The Blooper Reel

Round three and I think I finally got the money shot. This is not it. You'll have to wait to see the real pictures for the launch of the website. These are some of the outtakes.
The girls were giddy... it was adorable.

By the end of the shoot, they were laughing, falling down, and rolling in the tall grass.... and we didn't even use candy bribes this time!

Miss Lizzie....

Miakins... who turns 2 this month. I can't believe it!

Aidan thought his girls were sweet....

If you read my twitter post then you know my kids have been, true to form, knee deep in shenanigans. Last night we were out to dinner, and I kept having repeat phrases like, "Stop eating the entire sugar packet," and, "Ketchup is not a toy, especially when held upside down." Aidan also took my bamboo yarn and tied himself to our 3 seasons porch. I had to come cut him out when I heard the whimpers. Someone said I should post pictures, and I wish I would have taken them, but at the time I was too mad that my expensive organic yarn was a make-shift web drenched in mud. The next day, not undoubtedly under her brother's influence, Mia tied herself up with dental floss. I wondered why the room suddenly smelled peppermint-y: mystery solved.
Perhaps tomorrow I will get to my other post I keep promising.... Enjoy your weekend!

Hunter loves to tie things up as well. I actually put bungee cords in his Christmas stocking last year and he loved them. The only problem was he didn't use them to tie his bikes and things together outside like I thought. No, he used them to tie up his sister, tie all my chairs in the living room together, and tie all my dining room table chairs to the other pieces of furniture in the house. I thought I would never train him to stay out of the thread in my sewing room. He tied up EVERYTHING with that. UGH!
LOL...kids do the craziest things.
Okay, these pictures are darling, you captured love, laughter and kindness in these shots. Mia and Lizzy look like the best of friends and Aidan is such a sweetheart to the girls.
I was so hoping you got a picture of Aidan tied up ;) But I completely understand how upset you must have been.
Great outtakes! Love those laughs..so cute! So sorry they got into your yarn. My 3 yr old daughters latest thing is drawing on everything in pen and marker. The walls, toilet, sofa, table, chairs, floor, her bed and sheets, our LCD tv...nothing is safe. There are drawings on everything and it's driving me nuts! Oh and she keeps getting the scissors and cutting things up. Her latest victims are her bed sheets....ruined, and her spongebob pajamas. When I asked her what happend to her pjs she replied "A big spider came over and bit a hole in them!". Ummm...yeah right!
Perfect! I can't stop looking at that first one and the black and white one with the legs up in the air is priceless. I just want to hug that Aidan, so precious.
I'm so glad that I am not alone is the finding your kids in a mess bit!
All I can say is OH! my gosh :D
Also I know you've mentioned this before, but what camera do you use Jessica?
Oh my word! The cuteness! Aidan's smile in the 3rd photo says it all. And your little Miakins could not be any cuter. Miss Lizzie is a doll! These are the sweetest photos, my absolute favorites. :) Happy 2nd sweet Miakins.
I can't take the cuteness! ;)Love the pics!
These pictures just make me smile! It is funny how I can almost hear their giggles:) Beautiful pictures and beautiful kids!!! These are definitely my fave pics you have posted so far....I guess your looking for inspiration worked!!! These are amazing AND inspiring, Congrats!!!!
oooh, forgot to ask, are we going to be seeing the super cute fuzzy vest coming in your shop??? I am HOPING since we saw it on Mia and Lizzy that it is going to be one of your new items you offer....your not TOO BUSY to add clothing to your shoe line are you??? haha
First of all, I am sorry I didn't get to make my blog post. My sewing machine is broken! Well, actually it was broken {the feed dog wouldn't move.} Took it in, they repaired it, and it worked. *Hooray!* I was humming along for a half hour when it all got very dramatic.... screeching, clanging, then nothing. The needle won't even move. It's very sad. Maybe now I will have some much need time to answer emails.
As for the comments:
Hana and Jenny, it's comforting to know that I am not the only one with *ahem* creative and artistic kiddos.
Meredith, I use a Cannon 40D. But I used a different editing technique this time, and I think that's what gave them pop. Basically, I sharpened everything a little bit more than I usually do.
LaDawn, no--I did not make the hoodie, but it is a perfect match to the boots. Speaking of the boots, they will be available for pre-order with the launch of the website. As I mentioned, I have several hundred so they won't sell out immediately.
Okay... off to a wine tasting. The sacrifices I make for my hubby's career...
Do you mind if I ask where you got the hoodie? I plan to be one the first few (hundred) to own a pair of the boots, and would love to pair the 2 together:) Sorry to hear about your sewing machine, I am sure it has become a close friend of yours over the past year and that it is hard to not be able to go and chat, but I am thinking maybe God needed you to take a break and since you weren't listening; he "spoke up" hehe
Hope you enjoyed the wine tasting, I am wondering what I need to do to get my hubby a job like that! Sounds rough but I think I might have just the personality to handle it;)
Oh the shoes take my breath away.
I love these photos, they are just so happy and silly and perfect. Absolutely beautiful! I would LOVE to know where you got Mia's cable knit dress and the fur hoodie, they are too cute! And I hope that rose clip is going to show up in your shop soon, I would love to wear that! Aidan looks like such a little man in these photos, I love that you included him in the girl's silliness!
These are so cute! Thanks for sharing :)
