Photo Folie - Plum and Leaves

photo by Elizabeth Ann from Ez's lovely blog, Creature Comforts

"All the other colors are just colors, but purple seems to have a soul - when you look at it, it's looking back at you." ~Uniek Swain

What a week it has been! I feel extraordinary blessed to have so many positive things happening all at once. The only problem with having a business this current size and stage is that life seems extremely unpredictable. I do my best to strategize and plan, but it doesn't seem to matter! But before I get into all that, let me share another Photo Friday with you. At this point, I'm thinking I should call it Photo Saturday, but it doesn't have that same ring. I am greatly looking forward to school starting, re-establishing a routine, and hopefully having a little more consistency around here.

For this photo Friday, we are featuring my miss Mia's favorite color: purple. In fact, she won't wear any Joyfolie shoes ever since her father bought her some tacky purple light up flip flops. I just can't compete with LED lights, I guess. I'm hoping that she'll hearken back to Joyfolie shoes if I persuade her with watercolor purples and lavenders and a sparkle here or there. These are called Perla. For now, only one pair, available here. A special thanks to Elizabeth, for her lovely photo which inspired the shoes!

I may have shared this before, but Mia is so taken with purple, that in current discussions, she insists that her eyes are not brown. When I pressed, "Well, Mia, then what color are they?" Her reply: "Mommy! They are dark, dark purple!"

You are probably wondering things like: What's going on with the fall line? What about the women's items? Will I ever sell all that inventory I keep talking about? The answer to all of it is Yes! It's all happening later than I hoped. In a few weeks, I'll be able to explain the set back. If you are interested in Joyfolie shoes, please be sure to "like" us on Facebook because that is the best way to be informed of when we will list new designs. As I mentioned, a very exciting and unexpected projected delayed the Thursday post I was planning. Aidan is starting kindergarten this week, so we are busy on the home front, too.

As for fall pieces, here is a little preview: a longer version of the Blythe jacket, lovely and comfy tie dresses in an assortment of colors, wide belts for women, and a few women's tops, too. All I can say is the hold up isn't on my end, and sometimes I just need to be patient. As soon as I have more details, I will post them. I do have a gorgeous model lined up and hope to photograph a sneak peak of some women's items soon.

Have a lovely weekend! Blessings to you all!

purple is such a lovely color and happens to be my favorite, next to green :) how wonderful to hear more about your fall line, i am really looking forward to the longer Blythe jacket, as my daughter gets sooooo many compliments on her shorter one :) and boots! i am so ready for fall and cooler weather :) good luck with Aidan starting kindergarten, my Elizabeth started this Thursday and i almost made it through but seeing her coloring at her little desk, looking so big in her uniform..oh, it just got to me...the teacher also gave each of the parents a little note with a poem about kindergarten in it, and i am so happy i waited until we got in the car to read that! also, good luck with your "mystery project" i am keeping my fingers crossed for you on that!! have a great weekend :) xoxo

These are gorgeous! That is too funny that Robert bought Mia some light up shoes. Jon always comes back from recruiting trips with tacky t-shirts that of course Lillie adores and wants to wear all of the time. I am trying to turn them all into "nighttime shirts" so she can wear one every night and not out in public - haha! That won't work so well for shoes, though!
