Mia Ballerina

"Sometimes a single shoe can change your life."
~Cinderella
My sweet little ballerina! My mother was so kind to sign up my Mia for a 6 week dance class. Of course, there wasn't exactly much dancing. In fact, apparently due to my visit, Mia refused to participate at all. Mostly her expression was something like this...
Or she would cling to me for dear life. At least it's a room full of mirrors, so I could grab a photo..
I was ill prepared, scurrying after her in wedge heels and tight boot leg jeans. Nonetheless, it made for a sweet memory and darling photos.... {which were torture to edit}
Mia and my mom....

Oh my! Too cute Jessica, especially the one with her frustrated expression - she could be a little Degas ballerina.
These are so precious. I adore her ballet slippers!
Love them! Precious!
Love the quote :) great pictures, she is too cute!
But she looked so fantastic in that outfit, no dancing was really necessary! Oh and your Mom looks like your sister!
Love her, attitude & all.....my daughter is going to be the same way when i take her to dance class. LOL Love the picture of Mia & your mom. Beauties!
Thank you! To those who asked: the leotard is actually Eden's Bouquet heirloom swimsuit, the skirt is Target circa 2009, the shoes--Joyfolie, of course!
My mom does look young--and is young at heart! :)
Forgot to add, Meredith, I love your Degas interpretation of her forlorn expression :)
She's so sweet. Looks like our girls led parallel lives this week as it was Ainsley's first ballet lesson as well. However, Ainsley looks like a little orphan compared to Mia's sweet outfit. The place we go to has a dress code and doesn't let them wear all the pretties. Darn.
Oh too cute! I LOVE that first shot you got of her!
Precious!! I love the picture of you holding her. <3
where did you get the outfit? i want to sign my little kate up for dance, too. would love that outfit.
