Hello! Hello!

Lately I feel as if I have vanished off the face of blog world... barely checking in on facebook, blog comments, etc. Here's the skinny: working very hard on new inventory, hired new college intern, have little boy who might need glasses, planning curriculum for the Boulder creative retreat, and of course, struggling to survive the daily in's-and-out's of orders. In this moment, I feel a bit deflated.

I want to send out a hello and an apology to the lovely girls of Icing Designs, who I have been meaning to blog about for quite awhile now. They put together this lovely banner, and I have several other goodies they created for me that I will give away. I also have a photo friday, but I don't know when I will shoot it. I'm feel maxed out and tired today. I want to lay on some grassy hill somewhere in the sunshine and let a cool breeze blow over my face and not think about all the things I need to do. Many of these are exciting and fun--but an overload all the same. Training staff is hard work, and a huge and stressful time commitment in the beginning. I look forward to introducing Nicole to you, and having all the order inquiry emails go to her instead of me. {w00t!w00t!} In the meantime, the lovely Alisha is manning the email. She is so awesome, and keeping me from going to pieces. Thanks, Alisha, you're the BEST!

In keeping with the decor, here's a photo of a chalkboard wall I think is lovely. I enjoy how the bright children's toys are part of the design. I also love the music on her website. I heart Brett Dennen. {A few of his songs are in my playlist.} Anyhow, thanks for hanging in there with me as I struggle to survive this week! Keep an eye out for photo Friday over the weekend. Happy Friday!

I.Want.That.House!!! Oh my word, delish!

Yes I hear you on the whole life getting busy bit. We also recently just got Ross glasses, they gave us a pretty grim report about his eyesight, but now he's on the road to correction.

Hoping you get a bit of time to just process, and relax. Your work is incredible, your mind must never stop!

Fun little banner.
Those two bears are exactly the same two bears that sit on Ainsley's shelf in her room. The other stuffed animals she owns aren't out on display. I just thought it was funny you had the exact same ones for display.
Sounds like you have a lot of irons in the fire.

I'm sending some 'grassy hill' wishes your way! You are incredible.

On a sad note, I am so bummed the creative workshop is over that particular weekend. It covers both my little boy's and my hubby's birthdays. Oh please do another one! How about in Sunny California:-)!

Thanks so much for the comments--they really brightened my morning. I'm a little paranoid sometimes/worry that all my blog friends are mad at me b/c I feel like I'm never around. You know I haven't read my blogs in blog reader for 3 weeks! Anyhow, I slept in this morning until 8:30, which was pretty close to my grassy hill wish :)

Lori, sorry to hear about your little guy and glasses. How did he take to them? There is so much that can be done for eye sight now. We only took Aidan to his pediatrician, and I was shocked that he was struggling from far away, even though he knew the letters up close just fine. We need to take him to the optometrist soon to find out more.

Jenny, yes, it is funny that we have the same bears! I think they were both from Target. Oddly enough, this issue is sort of what makes it hard for someone like me to do business. You live in CA, me in TX, and probably other countless people have the same bears. It's the way our economy is structured right now... it's hard to do business and stay competitive when we are small.

Briana, you're so sweet! and I'm bummed you can't come, too! However, Ali (the owner of the Makerie) and I were just talking about how she wants to do more of these! :)

I am glad you were able to sleep in a little this morning, you so deserved it!

I am praying for Aidan.

And I am so happy that I have been able to help :)

Take deep breaths and don't forget, you can't work your magic if you are freaked out trying to get stuff done. Remember, we will still be here. ;)

Do what you need to do for you and the family. All things joyfolie are way too beautiful to keep us away...we will be here when you get back!
