Photo Folie - Cuffed and Belted Bootie
Today is Friday and with it comes another Photo Folie. If you are new to Joyfolie, Photo Folie is a new shoe design inspired by a photo. I have only made one pair of the shoes shown, so they are not something we are actively selling--at least not yet. Most of the shoes currently available on our site started out as a Photo Folie. So, if we get a lot of feedback that a particular style is well-loved, we will definitely rush it into a firm-soled shoe in size 4-13. If you would like to shop our in-stock shoes, please click here.
Back to today's shoes, I really love the photo above and the innovative use of old photographs over antique mirrors. In particular, though, I like the tan, faded straps of ribbon and all the lovely textures. Today, I took this same concept and applied it to a cuffed bootie. It is made with a heathered, cappuccino-colored suiting material, over chestnut velour, finished with a cognac strap of leather I had from an old trip to Florence. The result are some really wearable little kicks that would be so cute for the little lady with leggings and an over-sized sweater tunic.
Happy Friday!

GORGEOUS!!! I'd buy these for my little girl and put with a cute corduroy dress!!
Heidi, I am the wrong person to ask because my husband always told me that my boy designs were too girly--ha! It's one of the reasons we don't do boys things right now :)
I love these! I need them for family pics!
Oh you need to make these!! I can buy a few pair if it helps!
I'm amazed!!!!!!!!
Ack! Design for woman!!!!! Between last weeks design and this weeks you are kiling it! I totally think these could be appropriately unisex and I would love a pair for me too!
I just stumbled across your blog and I am in LOVE!! Girl, you are so gifted!! Each shoe is a little piece of art -- incredible. I can not wait for my girls to own a pair of your art one day! :) You have a new fan!

LOVE these, Jess! And I love that Robert thinks all of your boy designs are too girly. Every time I have tried to do something for boys Jon says the same thing so I just give up! =)

Wow! Just when I think you can't make anything better than the beauties that you have already created, you go and prove me wrong! This are so chic!

I have so many more ideas! Even though I love that we finally have enough shoes to meet demand, I do miss when we were handmade and could offer a new style every week :)
Oh my goodness, PLEASE put these into production! LOVE love love them, and they look so wearable which is fantastic.
Your work amazes me. A true artist! I would love to see them produced. My daughter would love these or better yet, I would love for her to have a pair.
Please make this one. i love it.
