Photo Folie - Blush Sparkle

Happy Weekend! As mentioned below, I am going to bring back Photo Folie posts. {Photo Folie is a blog post in which I create a new pair of shoes inspired by a photo.} This particular photo folie is a combination of several photos, tied around the perfect shade of pink. As I have said many times, I have a love-hate relationship with pink. On the one hand, it is the most trite little girl color, ubiquitous and can be entirely boring. On the other hand, I have a deep-seeded sense of inner girlie-girl and do love pink, if it is done properly. Plus, my own daughter is driving me crazy--CRAZY, I tell you!!--with her fervent resolve to wear nothing but the color. {Honestly, just yesterday Mia and I had a 20 minute discussion over why she could not wear something out of the dirty clothes just because it was, to quote Mia, "the most perfect PINK dress."}
To me, the key to pink is all about the shade. So, the factory and I went through several rounds of sourcing to find the perfect shade of blush glitter. The result is more of a soft, burn pink with an undertone of champagne. Also, sparkle shoes are everywhere, and if Joyfolie was going to do a sparkle shoe it had to be unique, with an unusual silhouette that couldn't be found anywhere else. So, I designed a T-strap with a soft little chiffon bow. The result are shoes called the Genevieve. Releasing the end of this month in size 4 - youth 1:

A few other favorite blush pink items, some glittered stars and a ruffled backdrop:
One more photo of the Genevieve from our Blush and Black Collection:
I will be releasing more styles from our spring collection over the course of the next two weeks, so be sure to check back. Happy Weekend!

Oh my. I love these. And I just purchased that blush ruffle curtain for baby girls nursery. I have a feeling I will LOVE this collection.
Oh Jessica, these are so beautiful! You are right, they are the exception in sparkle shoes (Bronwyn is a sparkly-shoe specialist these days, I think she would approve of these!).
Could be an ALL TIME fav! Beautiful! :)
Love these shoes....you always amaze me with your. You have a wonderful talent.
Haha - my littlest one is on my lap, and when we got to the picture of the shoes she said "Yes, please!"
Those are beautiful!!
Those shoes are absolutely adorable. My toddler would love (she happens to be a shoe girl lol)!
So pretty, as always! I just found some some pale pink fabric that I am dying to design with:)
Jen, it's funny you should post b/c you were on my mind these past few days. I hope Eden's Bouquet is well! We really should coordinate on something! I am always inundated with stuff to do. I wish you lived closer--think of the fun we could have together! :)
Meredith, I forgot to add that my Mia is a big fan of sparkle as well... She actually gave a lot of input on the shoes. She was emphatic about "non-scratchy" glitter and that we used velcro and not buckles. Isn't it funny how they are such tiny little beings yet have no shortage of opinions!
