A very special thank you to everyone who made a donation to Giving Children Hope!  I love that Joyfolie has so many opportunities to give back to those less fortunate.  We chose our list of winners, please see below:

Winner 1 Kristin Halcrow #8 {Emma Stone shoes or Spring shoes in size/style of choice}

Last year, I had created a pair of shoes inspired by fashion at the Oscars.  {You can read that post here.}  This year, I had a few customers ask if we would carry on the tradition, which I thought was a great idea!  So, I polled several of you on facebook, and chose one of your favorite Oscar dresses as an inspiration for a style of shoes.  The name I heard most frequently was the lovely Emma Stone.  {No, I have not seen the Help yet, but I have heard it's amazing!}  Who wouldn't be drawn to that shade of carmine red/pink and over-sized bow!

In creating the shoes, I used the same color of course, and mimicked the draping, gathering at the neck, and opulent asymmetrical bow in a pint-sized shoe rendition:

These shoes are size 8/9. They are soft-soled, one-of-a-kind, and were handmade in our studio. The Emma shoes, along with the gold peep toes in size 12 below {inspired by a very loose interpretation of Stacey Keibler's dress} will be raffled off for charity.


Each $5 donation is one entry in the raffle. We will collect donations from now through Thursday, March 8 at at 11:59 PM CST. At the end of that time period, I will select:

Thank you to everyone who makes a donation!  100% of this money will go to Giving Children Hope who is currently providing disaster relief for Midwest and Southern regions of the United States struck by the recent tornadoes.  Cost of the shoes, shipping, etc are absorbed by Joyfolie.  We consider opportunities like this an enormous blessing!  Again, thank you to everyone who makes a donation!

Additionally, like last year, I am designing a pair of shoes inspired by dresses worn to the Oscars.  Here is a very loose interpretation of Stacey Keibler's dress.

I am working on a much truer likeness of a pair inspired by Emma's Stone.  Hopefully, I will get those finished today.  You can see last year's Oscar-inspired shoes in this post.  The shoes created will be raffled off for charity.
